The Archipelago is made up of 1192 islands among large and small ones subdivided among 26 natural atolls but only 203 of the islands of the Republic of Maldives are inhabited. In these breathtaking turquoise lagoons nestled in dreamlike landscapes, you can immerse yourself in the green of nature populated by beautiful herons, or dive with the turtles in the immense coral reef reachable on board a dhoni, a typical Maldivian boat.

At sunset, the shores begin to glimmer under the moon… but nothing is out of the ordinary here. In fact, at the Maldives the bio-luminescent phytoplankton of the sea produces a fluorescent light when it is stirred by the waves and becomes perfectly visible in the dark.
